Home Overload

Ok, so I have a confession to make.  Yesterday I wasn't feeling great so I thought it would be a fabulous idea to sit on the computer for the entire day (minus the hour long trip to Marshall's & Target).  I felt like a drug addict yesterday.  I absolutely could not stop looking at a couple of blogs I found.  One would think I was looking at baby blogs and different fabulous baby things online.  Oh no.  That was not the case.....at all!

I was stuck on this blog:

IHeart Organizing

and this one:

and this one:

Oh my gosh!!!  I literally spent ALL day on those cool kids' blogs!  It was like a trainwreck.  I just couldn't take my eyes off of them!  So, needless to say.....I got inspired.  I am not nearly as creative or resourceful or motivated as those people are but I got myself off to a nice little start.

I started last night by wanting to do an "overhaul" of sorts on the office area in the eat-in kitchen.  I haven't been satisfied with it since we've moved in.  I want it to be a useful area, but not cluttered and junky since it is in a common area in the house.  So, I took a little bit of inspiration from my fellow bloggers and this is what I came up with:

Before (actually in mid clean up):

After:

I love the new little mail caddy.  I took that inspiration from one of the blogs.  I also decided to move the printer back down because, well.....I need it!  It was upstairs in the bedroom and it just wasn't functional there.  I also added a calendar which we have been needing!  Scott and I are always on the go and we have lots of places to be so keeping it all in check on the calendar will be nice.  I also am really digging the little corner with the lamp.  It has a picture of Baby Waller in the frame and that hydrangea came straight out of my backyard!  Super!

If you have a minute, I highly suggest you take a look at the blogs I mentioned above!  They are pretty fantastic and I'm sure you'll find some great ideas too!

I'm off to be domestic now.  Lasagna is on the menu tonight!

check, check, check (that's me checking my list off)

Well, today was a very eventful day! We woke up this morning and drove to Thomasville to go to Our New Baby!  We looked around at some bedding, strollers, pack & plays, and nursery furniture.  We didn't really see anything that we were in love with.  On our way out of the store, the sales associate told us about a super mega Our New Baby in Dothan, AL.  He said it was huge and they had a ton more stuff.  So, we decided to make the 2 hour drive to Dothan!  Why not!  We had nothing better to do today.  I am SO glad we went!  We found our crib and dresser/changing table there!!  I LOVE it!  It is so cute and girly!  It is great quality, too.  Here are some pictures:

I am so excited about it!  It should be here next weekend!!!  We also bought some bedding, but I am not sure I am in love with it.  I'll probably take it back because I ordered the bedding I really wanted when we got home.
Here is the bedding we bought today:

Here is the one I really love and ordered when we got home:

I think we're going to stick to the last bedding set and take the other one back.  Besides, that will give me an good excuse to go back to Our New Baby!  :)

When we got in the car to head home, I looked in the back at the crib mattress and bedding set we bought and I just started crying.  I think I was just excited.  I can't believe we are going to have a baby girl to love and to hold.  It's amazing.  By the way, we got confirmation on Friday that it definitely is a girl.  We had an appointment with Dr. Willis at the Maternal & Fetal Medicine at TMH and he confirmed that it definitely is a girl!!!  We are so excited!

In other news, Friday was the kids' last day of school!  I still have to go back on Monday and Tuesday but I am HOME FREEEEE!!!!  I don't think I like working very much (but really, who does?!?!).  I am excited to have the summer to get ready for this baby.  Next weekend, we are heading to Miami to see everyone.  That should be pretty exciting!  I especially can't wait to see Mariola, who is pregnant also!  She is due one day before me!  I hope to also check out some Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags while I'm down there.

Yay!  Life is good.  I miss my girls, but life is good.

Thank you, Lord!  I am blessed!

IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, we just couldn't wait until June 4th to find out the sex of the baby.  I was DYING to know!!  I obsessed over it daily.  So, we broke down and went to The Prenatal Experience and did the gender determination ultrasound.  It was so cool.  We did the 2D/4D ultrasound (which you can watch in the last post).  The 4D was really cool.  We could really see baby's face.  Anyway, the ultrasound tech was 3,000% sure that it's a girl!  I am so excited!  We immediately went to Target and bought some girly stuff (pink hangers, some socks, a few outfits).  I just had to satisfy that itch I had to buy baby stuff.  I had been wanting to buy stuff for a while but I couldn't because we didn't know the sex!

Now on to the difficult stuff.......finding bedding.  I cannot find any bedding that I like.  If anyone out there finds any cute websites with baby bedding, send it my way!

I was thinking the other day about how lucky I am.  I have been so fortunate in this pregnancy.  I have not been sick once, the nausea was minimal at the very beginning, and I haven't had any cravings (in fact, I find it hard to figure out what I want to eat).  My moodiness hasn't been awful and I haven't gained a ridiculous amount of weight.  I am so blessed.  This baby girl had been good to me!

Well, next week is the last week of school!  Thank goodness!  I am so ready for this break.  I really don't think I could make it another week.  I will miss this class though.  This class went through a lot with me.  They saw me get married and pregnant!  They're a special group.

Well, I'm off to do some cleaning before we head down to the pool.  I cannot believe I'm going to get in a bathing suit.  YIKES!  With that being said, I'll leave you with a pic of my belly at 18 weeks.

Spread 'Em!

14 MORE DAYS, PEOPLE!!!  14 more days until the end of school and summer is here!  It cannot come soon enough, that's for sure!  I just can't wait to have time for my house, my dogs, my baby, and my husband.  It's a struggle for me to keep the house clean and cook meals.  I am so exhausted by the time I get home, especially now that I'm pregnant.  Anyway, June 4th can't get here soon enough!
June 4th is also a HUGE and EXCITING day because that's when we find out the sex of the baby!!!!!  Man, we cannot wait.  We went yesterday for our regular check up and had an ultrasound.  We were really hoping we would be able to tell the sex of the baby then, but Little Peanut had it's legs curled up.  I was tapping on my belly saying, "Spread 'em!".  But, it didn't work!  Scott, of course, wants a boy and I am a bit partial to a girl.  Although, I feel rather strongly that it is indeed a boy.  I will be happy with either as long as it is healthy.  We just can't wait to become parents.  I can't wait to look my baby in the eye and know that Scott and I created that.  I'm sure it will be an amazing feeling.

We both have been super busy at work.  Scott has been working hard, as always.  I've been super busy myself lately.  I have been planning and working on the Rainforest play for the entire first grade.  The play is this Friday and I can't wait until it's over.  We've been practicing twice a day this week and the kids have been nuts!  I'm pooped!  But, the play should be super cute!

Oh....one last thing!  We finally received our wedding book and DVD today!!!  Watching that DVD gives me chills everytime.  That was the greatest day of my life and I just love reliving it.  Scott is a wonderful man and we are a couple of lucky cats!

Well, that's all for now!
